What is an orthosis?

Orthoses are orthopedic aids worn externally on the body. They serve to relieve stress on, stabilize, or correct the function of joints, muscles, or bones. The goal is to promote mobility, alleviate pain, and prevent or treat deformities.

Depending on the intended use, orthoses come in a variety of designs: from bandages and splints to complex support devices such as trunk orthoses or functional arm and leg orthoses. Orthoses can be made of carbon fiber, plastic, metal, fabric, or silicone, and are individually tailored to the needs of the wearer. Our product range is geared towards adults.
